About Kansas Expocentre

The Topeka Kansas Expocentre has been used for exhibitions related to agriculture, education and entertainment since 1871. It started with a local fair that grew to become the state fair just nine years later. In 1909 the permanent structures were built. The fair can host more than 200 booths and more than 2,400 people in the theater area. The Expocentre now hosts sporting events and concerts in its Landon Arena. The Landon Arena was established in 1987 and named after a governor who passed away the same year. The arena has room for about 7,000 people.
